Hello Mystery Snail Volunteers!
Robert McGowan works at the Invading Species Awareness program (ISAP). Since 2021, the Invading Species Awareness Program, and the Coalition of Haliburton Property Owners Association have worked to build the Mystery Snail Removal Program to engage the public and provide guidance to interested volunteers in education and management of the invasive banded and Chinese Mystery Snails.
Would you like to join 30 others on Boshkung who are part of this important program?
After your training, you can help to manage these invasive species on your shore.
You can be a citizen scientist assisting others on our lake. (High school students, this can be a valuable way to gain volunteer hours.)
If you are not currently on the licence but would like to sign up, please reach out to Robert McGowan, as he will be making amendments to the licence to add new volunteers in May.
